While attending University of Oregon, I took an Analog Recording class. This is the result of weeks of hard work and analog production using absolutely zero digital equipment. I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Thanks to everyone who helped bring my song to life!

Near Is Water

New gear inspires new ideas! I felt like rocking some synth presets and this whole thing came together in about 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Approach

Based on the question of, "What if I put two choruses on top of each other?"

Under Your Spell

I was lying bed when I thought of a vocal melody that sounded beautiful. I took it to my guitar which led me to a great chord progression and the song sprouted from there and was written, recorded, and finished within an evening.

An exercise in song composition using the keyboard of my laptop as an input. Created at the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic in the United States.

Shelter

A sweet indulgence into some blues music. This instrumental was actually inspired by a drum beat offered in Garageband.

Hey Mason, Nice Drums!

I fell in love with this synth effect when I was testing out presets in Logic and wanted to make that beautiful sound the focal point of the song! I did a line-in for the bass track on my Hofner which I think gives it a livelier vibe. I also came up with the vocals all in one evening.

I figured I'd keep it simple. Hope you all like it :)

Washed Away

This track was inspired by "The Plains/Bitter Dancer" by Fleet Foxes and the main acoustic riff is very similar to the one found starting at 1:56 in that track. The song also shares some sonic similarities in use of the vocals. No copyright infringement is intended and I'm happy to give Fleet Foxes credit for this track only should this somehow ever make it to a point where it is claimed I have infringed on copyright of their song.

Aside from that, this was a fun one to make. I doubled the acoustic guitar to make it sound thicker and I was very pleased with the result. Near the end, I used a Logic preset of a Harp to get that classical guitar sound mixed in. I think this track turned out really well. Hope you all like it :)

I Fall Into Oceans

What can I say? I love music, I always have. When I finally picked up an instrument, there was no turning back. I aim to create unique and diverse pieces of sonic art for all to enjoy. Thank you for your support!
