Lightest Heart is the name of my first single as a solo artist, a song that in many ways captures the essence of what I want to do with music and art. It touches on life, love, dream, fear, crisis and to find a hope, in spite of it all, of the wildest kind. I wrote it at the beginning of this year, during what felt lika an unusually dark winter, and the world unusually crazy. I needed to write about it, to sing about it, and I realized somehow that  hope is an act in itself, a wild leap, a foolishness to meet the madness with. Give me an eye, a hand, a soul that still clings to a song, because sometimes the unexpected happens in the shape of music that must come to be.

Lightest Heart

Ultralight is a song where I search for the exact beat to walk between the lightest light and the darkest dark. It is also a reconnection with the persona of the performer which I left upon the stage when I stepped down from it eight years ago. A lot of things have happened in that time, in life and in the world, and the performer is of course changed. Back with a heartbeat!

Ultralight

An integral voice from the sprawling European wave/underground-scene of the 00s and 10s, when Swedish singer and artist Kristoffer Grip debuts as a solo artist in 2025, it is with a moody romantic streak rooted in southern gothic folklore and rock n roll.
Lightest Heart is the first single, a song that mirrors the times we live in at the moment, dealing with life, love, fear, crisis and to find a hope in spite of it all, of the wildest kind. It is produced with Henrik Sunbring (oplen, Agent Side Grinder, Domus,) and Emanuel Lundgren (I'm from Barcelona, Loney Dear). Written by Grip, with music arrangement by Lundgren and mix by Sunbring. Grip was the singer and text writer of the post punk – band Agent Side Grinder between 2005-17.
