I keep coming back to this. Gets my leg bouncin' while my head is bobbin'...so groovy.

Mega-high mix. Loving the percussive elements. Fading in the the synth bass is a lovely touch. Banging tune!

A LITTLE BIT OF FUNK

This is a song I wrote in 2016, about overcoming negative self doubts when I was starting to write songs again after a break of about 20 years.  It’s a song of positivity and self encouragement to get on and do the things you want to before it’s too late, regardless of what stage of life you’re at.  Recording, percussion and additional fabulous chucka chucka guitars by Carl Hetherington of Van der Neer.

I have always loved the Em key, it is one of my favourite keys,  it is open to the Chord structures all over the fretboard, and open strings that gives this chord a fullness of sound, this one I recorded using the Sound Libraries make up that gives it lift and creates the atmosphere that I really love the fullness and rich passages that make up this piece.
