As the pandemic restrictions are set to ease soon in the UK and we finally had some hot weather, I was getting nostalgic for the feeling of playing outdoors at festivals and excited about the prospect of being able to do it again soon. My manager Jonny and I decided to set up an impromptu festival stage in the courtyard here at the studio in Brighton, so I could play some tunes and create a virtual festival experience for you!

Ahoy, happy to share this recording from the last Atish All Night LA in 2019. I fondly reflect on this event as the most fulfilling event I’ve ever produced and one of the best crowds I’ve played for as a DJ. I’ve been lucky to have a deep and growing relationship with the LA underground scene, and this all-night warehouse party in LA was a culmination of those experiences over the last decade. This recording is a 1.5 hr slice from 2019, and I think it touches on a few of the moods I like to go into: housey, driving, progressive, deep, stripped, and minimal.

If you’re in LA this weekend, I hope you can catch Atish All Night (outdoors). I’ve moved the event from the warehouse to an open-air ranch just outside the city. This is lining up to be something special, I hope you can join.

"Somewhere around 1999/2000, DJ Sneak and I arrived in Ibiza, but our luggage, including our vinyl crates did not. We spent the next 36 hours driving back and forth from the Saint Eulalia area checking for our vinyl after every flight with our airline. This was pre-cell phone era, so communication was sparse at best. After at least 6-8 trips back and forth, they arrived on the last flight possible to have records for our gig.
