Playing a major role on both the ‘Programmed V1.0’ and ‘Programmed V2.0’ EPs, it was only a matter of time before EastColors released a full single with Program. Naturally, he’s stepped up. And he’s done so with two prize-fighting productions. 

‘Toys’ is a one-way ticket to the furthest boundaries of the cosmos. Warm pads purr while a frosty arpeggio twinkles and subtle guitar strums shimmer softly in the background. An ageless reminder of how delicate certain elements of D&B can be when conjured in the right hands, ‘Toys’ will instantly arrest your crowd’s imagination. Countering the dreaminess with raw bass drama, the beats and chubby subs ensure full weight and presence. Complete with a modest, memorable vocal refrain, it’s the perfect balance of elements.     

‘Creeper’ sets a much darker agenda: Opening with oceanic synth washes, an unrelenting breakbeat looms ominously in the mix. Firing hi-hats take the lead before we’re plunged into a cavernous drop where layers of irresistible bass envelop us. What follows is an industrial strength roller of junglist proportions. Referencing the past to lock fully into the future, this is EastColors at his most chiselled and uncompromising.

Russia’s a hotbed for D&B talent right now, but few of its exports come close to EastColors in terms of creative skills and technical abilities. A crucial contributor to the label since its earliest incarnations: It’s time, once again, to get with the Program!

Med School are delighted to welcome Sunchase aboard with a debut 6-track EP that fuses melodic electronica and drum & bass with thoughtful percussive patterns, compelling vocals and infectious bass lines.

Downtempo title track “The Truth” opens with beautiful simplicity and a gorgeous vocal softly and unfolds into an atmospheric wave of synth-laden calm. Sunchase combines forces with Electrosoul System to create “Thing”, a warped and futuristic drum & bass excursion proving less is definitely more. “Kolo” enrols the unrivalled talents of Blu Mar Ten, culminating effortlessly into a blend of distilled musicality intertwined with complex and crisp drum patterns.

The infectious and funk-ridden bassline of “Think Of” keeps your ears guessing and feet moving, while “All Of Us” takes the listener on a thoughtful and meandering journey accompanied by Scoda Galina’s ethereal vocal talents. Last but by no means least is “Slowly”, charged with warming sub, inquisitive melodies and echoes of early Synkro releases on Med School circa 2010.

Random Movement's ''I Stayed Around'' taken from his 2015 Sleazy Bitch EP on Fokuz received critical acclaim and support by the likes of Technimatic and Spectrasoul fortifying his position as the go to guy for bridging the gap between rough and smooth. With this Lenzman reinterpretation the Dutchman turns the original concept into an energetic roller leaving his signature markings all over. Already one of the essential liquid tracks of 2016!

To complete the release ''Suggestions'' by Anthony Kasper was added. It's most definitely a feel good track with subtle touches, a playful bassline and infectious vocal cuts. Strong sounds coming from this Minneapolis based d&b talent. We look forward hearing more!

My next release is a big one for me... it's the 100th track I have released, and it is on the label who gave me my first opportunity many years ago.....

My first release was a pair of tracks called 'Miss Understanding/Hidden Beauty', written with Facing Jinx in the shed at his Mum's house. We stayed up till 6am getting the first one done and knew we were on to something. They were picked up by a label in California called Peer Pressure Records, and this was the first of many collabs with Jinx, and more importantly the basis of a great friendship - I'm the Best Man at his wedding on Friday.

Around 8 years later, and Alex is now the label owner and I deal with A&R, socials, checked shirts, etc. To have the opportunity to plan my 100th release on my own label is a blessing. To be able to release my 100th track on the label where it all started, and share the release with my best mate, is really very special to me.

And I wanted to release something special for my 100th track. I always loved Facade but felt like I could give it a lift and push it in a harder direction. And a few hi-hats in the intro wouldn't hurt either eh Alex.... I've been playing this everywhere over the last year, and now it's time for you to play it everywhere.
