Meet Westy.

Westy began DJing at 13 years old and has been working on his sound ever since, taking his initial inspiration from oldskool Hip Hop and early Chicago House and now naming Kerri Chandler and Darius Syrossian as his favourite artists.

As a Resident DJ, Westy plays a major part in the Testament team and has been with us from the very beginning. Back in 2016, he took the reins at our first party in the Old Church in Sacriston, and this June he's returning to the Terrace with us to close out the first party of our Summer series. Last year's Terrace Parties gave Westy the chance to blow the roof off, and it's fair to say he didn't disappoint.

He won't be one to miss at our first Summer Session on the Terrace.

Introducing Thomas Hays.

Thomas started DJing at 16 and quickly adopted a feel good jackin’ house style, naming the likes of DJ Sneak, Phil Weeks and Derrick Carter as inspiration. Since then he has been honing his musical ability and sound by immersing himself in a wider variety of music including jazz, funk and disco, which has influenced him massively.

As well as pushing the Testament brand forward over the last two years through his residency and his hard work behind the scenes, Thomas has frequented renowned Newcastle venues such as World HQ, Cosmic Ballroom and MSA, the home of our industry friends Sub 808, where he holds down another residency.
Looking to the future, Thomas has set his sights on growing Testament into an established North East party, focused on showcasing the talent of our residents and local DJs. When the time comes to invite big names behind the decks, Thomas wants to ensure that they represent the sound that Testament is all about.
