We’re dropping this incredible new mix by the one and only Baldo: DJ, producer, and head of Subwax Distribution.  

Based in Barcelona, Baldo has built a stellar reputation in the electronic music scene, releasing tracks on prestigious labels like Permanent Vacation and his own imprint, Physical Education.  

And beyond the studio, he’s the mastermind behind Subwax Distribution, a globally renowned distributor working with labels like Limousine Dream, Slow Life, Father & Sons... and more.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?
The mix was recorded at my home studio at night, which is when I find the right atmosphere for this kind of work. It allows me to really focus on selecting the tracks and letting the energy flow naturally.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
It represents what I would typically play at a gig or festival - music made for the dancefloor. As always, I’ve included some unreleased Subwax distro material, so people can get a taste of what we’ve got coming next.


3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…
Working hard with Subwax as always. I’m also looking forward to some summer gigs, and it’s time to get back in the studio to work on new tunes. The goal is to put out a couple of records before the year ends. It’s that balance between running Subwax, playing out, and staying creative in the studio that keeps things exciting for me.


4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?
That’s exactly what I do when I play in the clubs. Sometimes it’s visible, sometimes I’m just vibing internally and nobody can really tell, but it’s always happening! haha!
