Called the pros, they came and went,
Left my roof with extra dents.
They smiled, they shrugged, they said “it’s fine,”
Now I’m dripping through the ceiling line.

Guess the universe made a plan,
Put a drill inside my hand.

So I nailed it myself, oh yeah,
On the rooftop, breathing air.
Who needs experts, who needs fame?
I got courage, duct tape, and my name.
If the sky leaks, I don’t mind —
It’s proof I’m still alive this time.

Bought the wrong screws, thought they’d fit,
They looked the same, I’ll admit.
The clerk just grinned, said “try again,”
I laughed — that’s how all lessons begin.

Every mistake is a song,
Tighten it right, and hum along.

So I nailed it myself, oh yeah,
With some hope and messy hair.
If the world breaks, that’s okay,
I’ll rebuild it my own way.
Every leak, a silver rhyme,
The wind approves, one screw at a time.

There’s poetry in every crack,
A story in each nail I whack.

Gravity’s just checking in.

Someday my roof will hum when it rains,  
Singing my name through metal veins.  
I see that day, not far, not wide —
