The name “Pure Mass Band” started as an imagination of 4 friends walking home from school. About two years ago, a group of young men with hidden talent not aware of their potential heading sometimes on the wrong path decided to make a change and do something for their selves. Music was never a motive for us but we all love soca music. The idea “lets form a band” came about, at first we all thought the idea was crazy and didn’t make sense, but after realizing the kind of talents each of us portray (Lony- drums, Kj- keys, Phano- vocals and myself- vocals) we put all of these talents together and it actually worked out,sketchy at first but then with practice we became a band. We started off in Pablo’s place and I just want to say a big thanks to Paul for letting us chase our dreams and not stopping us from going into the club to practice and make what we love. At first we were using broken mics, one speaker , half of a drum and others peoples songs and riddims off of SoundCloud but as the time went by we started learning more and more about the music business and the more we learned the better we became, we started getting new equipment, our own programmer and lots more. Our music is for everyone to enjoy, the old and the young. Years went by and we started building a mini fan base, we came upon some challenges, where there are fans there are haters. But we don’t feed into the negativity, we do this for the love of Music , we feel that one day the name “Pure Mass Band” is going to leave a positive effect on the B.V.I and someday international. We are working hard to be one of the best of the best! To all our supporters! Keep pushing us to push more and better music for the coming years you will remember “PMB!”

Show It Off (Pure Mass Band)

The band consists of 4 talented young men that are entirely in love with music. The members are: Jonathan Hughes (lead singer) Jahsean Ponce (Bassist) Tevaun Ponce (keyboardist) and Raphael Sanes (backup singer/riddim programmer) 
The name "Instylez" came about in a musical dream that the lead singer had at the age of 12. He then looked upon family members and close friends that were also determined to start a band and began experimenting... 
In February 2013, Instylez Band was formed. The band consisted of 6 members, all talented and full of potential. While trying to bring this dream to life, the band encountered many obstacles, arguments and even terminations. Throughout all the ups and downs, the band still pulled through and strived to become a popular group. 
After their second year together, they finally found that core and style that defined their music today. They performed to various places and festivities on the island of St. Croix from rocking house parties and club jams to tramping down the road on “Jouvert” morning. 
The group is mostly known for jumpy and hype performances and their attractive images. The brotherhood that they have is all about positivity and good vibes. Instylez band is a very self-explanatory name meaning they keep everything in style and professional within the music. 
Their main genre is Calypso which is the music they grew up listening as young guys. They try to be different and add a few versatile features by mixing different styles of music such as soca, r&b , hip hop, salsa , jazz , rock & roll etc… 
Their aim and goals are to make their music absolutely enjoyable to people of all ages all around the world and to let their name be known for their own special style of music.
