Jazz/pop group Lunafruit have announced the release of an EP, ‘Slow Steps’ on 5th April 2019. Following the success of their first two singles, this four song EP will be the debut from the London-based group, who met whilst working as session musicians and quickly uncovered a shared vision. From the sharp groove of the title track, to the disco-inspired ‘Madeline’ and the stripped back, soulful vocal of ‘Jacob’s Prayer’, the EP is a journey through RnB, jazz inflections and uplifting pop. 

Channeling “sunlit jazz and honey-like vocals”(Off The Block), Lunafruit have been gaining recognition within the South London music scene with their smooth jazz/pop blend. They released their first two singles ‘Rise and ‘Superhero’ in 2018, earning multiple plays on BBC Introducing and a following on Spotify. The EP was well received across the board: “impeccably produced, melodic, bright and uplifting” (Glamglare), a “tender and soulful summer track” (Vents Magazine) with “stunning vocals” (Somewhere Soul). Their influences include Vulfpeck, Jordan Rakei, Jorja Smith, Lianne La Havas and The Internet. 
‘Slow Steps’ sees this young band branch out into new territory, to produce an uplifting and soulful sound in a record that’s full of surprises.
