This is a song about trying to hold on to happiness and memories when your world disintegrates .The music sounds a bit chill , but the lyrics a bit sad .

At times they each had lovers
but it never did work out
they always had each other
the lovers all had doubts

The years passed, they never moved
their relationship persisted
They world moved on around them
as if it never had existed

They were older, neither worked
they had more time to spend together
They still met every day
but then alone time seemed forever

And then one day across the table
she said without a warning
I want to leave, go somewhere else
If I could I'd leave this morning

His heart stopped, he could not breathe

They called their banks, doctors, and lawyers
This was not much too late
They met again a few days later

Never again were either seen
