Here's a new club track I made exclusively for the DJ-Kicks mix. It feels good to be back in the studio and making music again. Some finish lines are appearing on the horizon.

The DJ-Kicks album will be released on 11th November on K7, available on double vinyl, CD and digital​. The mix represents my three years spent on the road since Drone Logic but also the time I’ve recently had in the studio.

Margot Wilson - Ode To Number 6

Forging links and collaborations with meditation, neuroscience, astrophysics and AI research is at the forefront, summarising my research quest as investigating ‘altered state consciousness’ using breath directed intuition-platforms such as immersive drawing, phononic breath toning, and breath-induced vivid dreaming. I have published papers in this area and poster presented my research at The Science of Consciousness in 2015 (Helsinki) and 2023 (Sicily) and The Royal College of Psychiatrists (Edinburgh, 2017). 

My visual and performance art practice rises out of 40 years of astrology practice and eastern philosophies of kundalini, tantra, Vajrayana and Zen meditation, experimental performance writing, and neuroscience theory.  I hold a BA (Hons) Philosophy at Birkbeck (2013) and MPhil (R) Philosophy, University of Glasgow (2016) and in 2017 I completed an MA Creative Writing as Theatre and Poetry at the University of Sheffield. In 2019 I was accepted to The Royal College of Art’s MA Writing and continued to their Graduate Diploma in Fine Art, recently receiving an A* Distinction. I now join the RCA MA Contemporary Art Practice in September. 


My practice comprises two discourses, the first is bi-handed drawing and 2-directional writing, the second is breath-directed performance using Tantric and intuitive breath practices to explore spontaneous agency in performance. I approach my body as a multidimensional ‘soma-community’ and somageography methodology.
