Bluesy, electric guitar dominates the track.  The guitar riff wraps around and enhances the lyrics.  The intro opens the track with a chord progression and a diminished  minor before the first verse.  The chorus kicks in from the first line and continues to repeat in the second verse,  Background voices on the chorus gives an additional emotional punch.  The bass fills in with a staccatos pattern on the chorus that enhances the lyrical phrase. The sporadic  drums holds the song together from section to section.
Lastly, the bluesy, soulful vocals of  producer Justin Tracy interprets the song in his own style with adlibs that give the song a wider vocal interpretation.

This song is smoky and bluesy. The 'wrap-wround' rhythm guitar defines the lyrics and the mood of the song. The heavy  accent of the drums and bass  encourages a slow foot stomper. The 'voices' on the pre-chorus build to the rousing, catchy addictive chorus 
that tug at the heartstrings. The splashes of  organ riffs throughout the verses add to the story and images the lyrics evoke. The 'raw' and passioned vocals   take the melody to unpredictable places fueling variation that are true of the genre.
