Thankful is a walk down memory lane for Rich. He reflects on his childhood in this track and comes to a place of thankfulness and gratitude when he looks back on all the potential things that could have had derailed him at a young age or even worse. Rich says 'I coulda been dead, bro, a rapist, dope dealer so many things i could've succumb to, but God kept his hand on me. Im just thankful to still be here and living my purpose.

Rich Milz ft. January Hairston- Thankful

After experiencing the cut throat reality of the music industry, Milz penned this banger produced by Tone Jonez. Milz was signed to a small record label out of Lynchburg Va. Flattered by the idea of being wanted, Milz signed a 3 year deal only to realize it was a mistake and 1 year into the deal,  wanted out. Thinking it would be an easy transition Milz let the label know he wanted to terminate the deal. To his dismay he was met with ridiculous demands, exorbitant fees and ultimately a bitter experience. All of that led Milz to starting his own label and releasing his debut EP. TY4TH (Thank You For The Hate) was written in view of what was endured in a nasty label divorce but is still written in a way that anyone could subject the song's meaning to their own personal situation.  'Embrace the hate' Milz says 'that's what makes you.'

Thank You is the title track and lead single off Milz' EP titled 'Thank You!' As Milz' birthday was approaching his wife had quite the surprise for him. Knowing the lack of fulfillment he felt at his job and his desire to pursue music, she secretly asked friends and family if they would mind giving to a GOFUNDME account so he could build his own in home studio. She raised $700 and Milz' was blown away by his wife's creative gift. In response to that and the generosity of so many supporters, Milz released 'Thank You" and also titled his EP the same. He has since quit his day job and is doing music full time!

Oh My Gawd is a statement song. Fueled by all the division across the nation, and more near to Milz' heart throughout The Church as he is a follower of Jesus, Milz sets out to highlight how people major the minor in our politically charged climate, how people are demonized and defined in a moment based off what they say, how they feel or what they may or may not do in any given moment. At the heart of 'Oh My Gawd' Milz hopes the message conveyed is that people keep the main thing the main thing. Namely, to love unconditionally and let that love manifest in denial of self, service to others and generosity to those in need. Milz says 'Being different isnt the issue, we are and until we figure out how to best value everyone's differences and apply them appropriately we will continue to be in a state of division and chaos.'

God on my side is a resounding declaration. The last song at the end of his 5 track EP. Milz flows about his allegiance to and hope in God. Milz bucks  expectations on what a young dred head emcee should convey in his music and instead embraces his faith. Furthermore this song is the redeeming icing on the cake. Despite all his flaws, intentional errors and at times down right malice, Milz knows that there is grace and forgiveness for the repentant of heart and echoes those sentiments throughout God on my side.

Rich Milz formerly known as "Thrillz" was born in Orlando Florida, currently he resides in Roanoke Virginia where he decided to take his music career seriously. Rich is a Hip Hop artist with a conscious, down-south, trap and newschool rap style. He seeks to motivate listeners to be who God made them to be and never give up despite adversity. Rich started recording at 14 but recently has taken his passion for music to the next level. June 26th 2020 marked the beginning of music released by 'Rich Milz' with his first single 'Thank You', a song for everyone that helped invest financially in his dream to pursue music. His biggest performance was with DJ Pdogg at UNC Chapel Hill. He has done many other local shows and has also shared the stage with the Culture Villains. Currently he's promoting his debut EP release titled 'Thank You' and working on new music as well! He says, "Ultimately I want to build a platform that glorifies God through the talent given me and to shine His light in the darkest of places.
