TwoMonkeys is a duo formed by brothers Simone and Michele Bornati, a mixture of analog and digital sounds, acoustic sonorities and crazy oceans of ambient, synth deflections and drunken saxophones.
The rigorous rhythms are crossed by atmospheres ranging from 80’s punk to trans-human industrial, from crooked no-wave guitars to freak electronics of American sub-culture.
TwoMonkeys begin their experience abroad, in 2010 in Amsterdam they recorded and self produced their first Ep Junkies to the birthday parties (http://twomonkeys.bandcamp.com/album/junkies-to-birthday-parties), then in 2011 in Berlin they participated in the experimental music scene establishing connections with some European underground realities and a variety of friendships and collaborations started to take place.
In 2013 Psychobabe (http://twomonkeys.bandcamp.com/album/psychobabe) was issued by Kandinsky Records, the first "true" album, produced by Asso Stefana (Mike Patton, Guano Padano).
Since then they have worked on two projects: E.C. P (Perpendicular Guitar Ensemble - Opera I, Opera II) and the audio-visual performance ElettroButterfly (inspired by Puccini's Madama Butterfly) presented at the Fondazione Teatro Grande in 2014.
Almost two years after Psychobabe they are now working on the next album, even more focused on the extravagances of musical languages. Working in the basement of the Association VILL∆, with whom they collaborate, they are recording and planning their next release for 2016.
