Larmour, the UK-born and Tbilisi Georgia-based artist, is set to release his upcoming 'False Thoughts EP' on March 3rd via MOTE Records, aka Mood Of The Era. The EP takes listeners on a journey through Larmour's personal experiences and emotions as he navigates a new country and discovers the challenges and triumphs of life in a new place.

The 'False Thoughts EP' showcases Larmour's love for breaks, combined with a rich tapestry of emotions, from love to pain, loneliness, joy, and nostalgia. The four tracks on the EP, including the title track 'False Thoughts,' '52Down', 'Over' and the highly-anticipated 'N.A,' offer a glimpse into Larmour's world and provide a moving, danceable soundscape that explores the complexities of human emotions.

Larmour's goal with the EP is to encourage listeners to live in the present, appreciate memories from the past, and not get caught up in nostalgia. The EP's nostalgic elements are balanced by an overall message of growth and the idea that life is always throwing curveballs.

The Procyon II team are very proud to bring you PRCN001: 'Wave Artifice' - Naarm local AJ Walker's second EP and the maiden release for the Procyon II label. Releasing May 5th 2023. 

AJ returns with bag of sonic goodies to take you a journey through the galaxy and back. With a propensity for driving low-end grooves, snappy percussion and laser-like acid-licks leaving no surprises, this release has seen him venture down new avenues of sound design creating nebulous pad sections and synth harmonies to lose yourself in on a dusty dance-floor in the bush.

3 recent cuts, 'Wave Artifice', 'Polybius' and 'Astra-Technique' showcase the last 6-months or so of AJ's trip into the esoteric and aims to capture that otherworldly feeling you might get while staring into the liminality of space on a clear night.
'Blue Shell Boogie', written in 2021 is an ode to everyones favourite N64 classic. Sitting dormant on a backup disc since and finally finding a home on the Procyon II imprint.

It's house, it's trance, it's a bit prog and it's Mario Kart 64 - it's Wave Artifice.

After “Orpheus” dropped last April with DJ support by chief musical dispensers like Ben Sims, Call Super, Loraine James, Carista, Ben UFO, Danielle, Optimo’s JD Twitch, Nazira, Erol Alkan and more, the second outing of this new, revitalised One Eyed Jacks is yet another Photonz single leading up to the release of his forthcoming album “Communal Sweat” dropping later this year also on the label.

On “The Sun And The Moon”, OEJ label-head Photonz shows his lighter side, with sun-tinged piano hooks alternating nocturnal sentimentality, pointillist bleeps and a stripped-back snappy house beat with no extra adorn or distractions. On “White Pelican”, the second original on this single, things get a bit more abstract and intricate with angular and dialoguing grooves and sounds, laid out and organised in a live arrangement and cooked up for late sets and trippier electro-techno fantasies.


On remix services we’ve got two up-and-coming greats from Portugal and France: Lisbon-based Brazilian dj, producer and activist Cigarra steps in to transform the title-track into a fast-paced, footwork-modelled bass attack while retaining the original’s summery appeal; Parisian well-kept secret and Photonz occasional collaborator Keumel instead turns “The Sun And The Moon” into an elegant, patiently-passed acid/deep house hybrid, focusing more on its melancholy and emotive flair, and bringing it home with a dub-techno sensibility on the FX.

Artwork is once again by Príncipe-affiliated and FLUR Records record pusher Márcio Matos, responsible for the visual identity of the label since day one. Mastering by Justin Drake of Peace Division.
