An experimental electronic dream,
A journey into sound's unknown realms.
Fixed media, pre-recorded, played back,
A complex and multi-layered world.

Built on granular synthesis,
Fragments broken, rearranged,
A dense and intricate soundscape,
A symphony of the strange.

Noise and feedback, dominant force,
Unpredictable and chaotic,
Tension and release, an endless source,
A celebration of the unknown.

Granular Study

This piece is an edited performance of a generative patch, utilizing chaotic attractors as the primary modulation source. These mathematical structures exhibit seemingly random behavior, yet are governed by a set of simple rules, resulting in an ever-evolving soundscape. The result is an exploration of the boundaries between chaos and order, and a celebration of the beauty of the unpredictable.

Chaotic Attractors

The vibraphone's gentle touch,
A phrase played slow and such,
A soundscape takes form, so grand,

The mallets interject with force,
Percussive beats that make a course,
Through the sea of resonant sound.
