Cubaseで作成したオリジナル曲です。

本作の動画は、私の中のノスタルジアを表現しました。ノスタルジアの定義をケンブリッジ辞典で検索すると出てくる定義です。

日本語に訳すと
➢過去に起こった ことを 考える ときの 、  喜びと、 わずかな 悲しみ 

このような訳になるのでしょうか。

ここでなぜ「Sepia Colored」がついているのか？のご説明です。
セピア色というと、写真が時間が経つと色あせていく時に使われる表現です。過去に起こったことが、セピア色に色褪せていく。私はそれをイメージした時、何となく「過去がこうだったらいいな」と思う、少しの後悔のようなものを感じました。たぶんこれは正式な表現ではないのではないかと思いますが、これがタイトルの意味です。

作曲の観点から

今回の大きなポイントは、やはりギター演奏です！アコースティックギター、ナイロンギター、エレキギターの演奏が収録されています。演奏していただいたギタリストは、Splash Guitarさん。

ギターソロのパートは、一番盛り上がる聞きどころのある部分なので、ぜひ注目して聴いてみてください。

また今回の挑戦は、オーケストレーションです。木管、金管、弦楽器の構成です。

木管：ピッコロ、フルート×２，オーボエ×2、クラリネット×2、ファゴット×２
金管：ホルン×４、トランペット×2、トロンボーン×2、チューバ
弦楽器：1stバイオリン×2、2ndバイオリン、ビオラ、チェロ、コントラバス
その他：ピアノ、マレット、ベースなど

オーケストレーションの本で勉強したのですが、今から考えると、必要のないパート演奏もあったのではないかと思っています。ですが、初めての試みはとても楽しいものでもありました。私の曲の中で一番編成の大きな曲です。

最後に、この曲は2018年くらいに作った「The Universe」という曲の、メインテーマになっています。冒頭、中盤、最後に流れる浮遊感のあるパートは、そこが原点でアレンジしたものです。

This video expressed the nostalgia in me. The definition of nostalgia can be found by searching the Cambridge Dictionary for the definition of nostalgia.

Why is the translation "Sepia Colored" used here?

Sepia Colored" means "sepia" is an expression used when a photograph fades over time. What happened in the past fades to a sepia color. When I imagined it, I somehow felt a slight sense of regret, of wishing the past had been different. Perhaps this is not an official expression, but this is the meaning of the title.

From a compositional point of view

The major point of this project is the guitar performance! The recording includes performances on acoustic guitar, nylon guitar, and electric guitar. The guitarist who performed is Splash Guitar.

The guitar solo part is the most exciting part to listen to, so please pay attention to it.
Another challenge this time is orchestration. It consists of woodwind, brass, and strings.

Woodwinds: piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons
Brass: 4 horns, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, tuba
Strings: 1st violin x 2, 2nd violin, viola, cello, double bass
Others: piano, mallets, bass, etc.

I studied this in an orchestration book, but in hindsight, I think there were some parts played that were not necessary. But it was also a very enjoyable first attempt. It is the most orchestrated piece of my music.

Finally, this song is the main theme of a song I wrote in 2017 or so called "The Universe". The floating parts that play at the beginning, middle, and end of the song were arranged there as the starting point.

本作は、ちょっと遊び心を加えた曲を目指しました。繰り返し聞こえる「What’s up, B?」はずっと聞いていると、何か他の単語に聞こえてきませんか？映像にもそのヒントが隠れています。その他にも、「Kawaii」とか「Hey, hey, hey」と、面白い掛け声をかけるように作られています。とても面白い試みができたかな、と思っています。

作曲の観点から
このメロディはヨナ抜き音階で作りました。ちょっと日本風な印象の曲となったと思います。バイオリンとチェロで繰り返されるメインテーマがすごくエスニックな雰囲気であると私は思っています。あまり聞こえないのですが、尺八も入っているんですよ。
ただ、どこか正式な日本風ではないような気がする。それを基に動画を作成しました。動画素材は、Pexelsというサイトからお借りしています。海外の方の作品が多いこのサイトは、日本風を独自に解釈されているのかな、と思いました。日本人から見ると、ちょっと「ん？」と思う瞬間もあるかもしれません。その「何だか間違ってる！？！？」という世界観が面白いな、と思って、動画を制作しています。念のためにつけ加えさせて頂きますが、決して多様な日本風の表現を茶化しているわけではありません。

This is an original song created in Cubase.
For this piece, I aimed to add a bit of playfulness to the song. If you listen to "What's up, B?" repeatedly for a long time, doesn't it sound like some other word? There is a hint of it hidden in the video. Other interesting calls are also made, such as "Kawaii" and "Hey, hey, hey". I think it was a very interesting experiment.
From a compositional point of view
This melody was created in a yona nuki scale. I think this piece has a slightly Japanese impression. I think the main theme repeated by the violin and cello has a very ethnic feel. It doesn't sound like much, but there is also a shakuhachi flute.
However, I don't think it is in a formal Japanese style somehow. I created a video based on it. I borrowed the video material from a website called Pexels. I wondered if this site, which has many works by people from overseas, has its own interpretation of the Japanese style. From a Japanese point of view, there may be moments when you think, "Hmm?” There may be a moment when you think, "What's wrong?” I thought it would be interesting to see the worldview of the Japanese people, and that is why I made this video. I would like to add that I am not making fun of the various Japanese expressions.

This is an original soundtrack created in Cubase.

Miiche composed, mixed, and mastered the music and created the music video for this work. Usually,  she commissions the mixing and mastering. How do you feel about the perfection of this song?
For this song, I aimed for a cinematic atmosphere. I imagined a majestic drum, the main cello melody, and the piano melody intertwined with it. It is one of my very favorite songs.
The video depicts intersecting roads and people walking along. The ages are different. I used various visual effects, such as an old movie film look, a TV screen look, etc. The video creation software is Filmora.

The title "Our Paths WIll Cross Again" translates to "Our paths will cross again," which I take to actually mean "We will meet again.
The last phrase, "You see? Our Paths Cross Again", the point is that there is no "Will" in the ending. That is why the first video scene and the last scene are the same. Other than that, I would like to leave the explanation to the sensitivity of the viewer.

Cubaseで作成したオリジナルサウンドトラックです。

本作は、作曲・Mix・マスタリングとMV制作をすべてMiicheが手がけました。普段はMix・マスタリングを依頼することが多いのですが、自身で担当した今回の曲の完成度はいかがでしょうか？
今回の曲は、シネマティックな雰囲気を目指しました。雄大なドラムとメインのチェロのメロディ、そこに加えてピアノのメロディが絡み合うイメージです。自分ではとても気に入っている1曲です。
動画は交差していく道と、人が歩いていく姿を描いています。年代はバラバラ。古い映画フィルム調であったり、TVの画面のようであったり、様々な映像効果を利用しました。動画作成ソフトはFilmoraです。

タイトル「Our Paths WIll Cross Again」は、直訳すると「私たちの道はまた交差するでしょう」となり、実際の意味としては「また逢えるでしょう」という意味であると私は捉えています。
また最後の、「You see? Our Paths Cross Again」は、「ね？また逢えた」という意味合いのエンディングにしました。「Will」がないのがポイントです。最初の映像のシーンと、最後のシーンが同じなのはそのためです。それ以外の解説は、ご視聴いただいた方の感性にお任せしたいと思います。
