Manchester needed a band to come along that tips a hat to the traditions that have made the city the music mecca of England, but also establish a fusion of influences that stretch to a variety of genres. I introduce Second Sun. It is always refreshing to see a band perform with passion and conviction but not many bands have the creativity in the songwriting to do it justice. Second Sun have nailed it. Currently performing in a number of renowned venues across the North and it is only time before they embark on bigger gigs, more publicity and writing more music. I saw Second Sun perform at FAC251 this year it was a new, exciting, mesmerising performance. Think Queens of the Stone Age meets Johnny Marr, Police meets Arctic Monkeys then it begins to make the mind wonder, listening to their new EP Innocent Gun is assurance that this band have made it work.
