The album Hali contains the original song hali that means my spiritual state and it’s about the difference between the gnawi that stays home keeping the rituals, and the ones that left home but kept the spirit.the rest of the album are gnawa songs were chosen from the gnawa repertoire to showcase through rhythms and melodies ,although the lyrics are in Arabic , there are few african worlds that kept among songs .its about the slaves been separated from their families and leaving their lands , passing through though times , marking the roads in their chants , that represent the journey from darkness to light , from sadness to happiness, from slavery to freedom.

Mohamed Errebbaa was born in Rabat, Moroccan musician and Master in the GNAWA world. He spent a decade travelling throughout Morocco, studying the diverse regional musical traditions under some of the leading musicians in the country. In southern Morocco, Issawa,  and Deqqa folkloric percussion, becoming especially passionate about the three-stringed Gnawa bass lute, the Guembri, before launching his international career.

Receptive to the fusion of musical genres, he has collaborated with many leading international artists. He worked and performed with artists Trevy Felix, Nelly Stharre, Antonia Vai, Hamid Bouchnak, Martin Signeur and Justin Adams, mixing traditional African music with the sounds of the wider world.

Mohamed has already performed at several festivals worldwide including Shambala, Greenbelt, WOMAD, Bergenfest (Norway), Busan (South Korea), Festival internationale de percussions sousse (Tunisia). 

Mohamed ERREBBAA & Tagna Groove band is the fruit of a project funded by Art council UK and led by Mohamed to give a platform to Gnawa music and expose this traditional music in a modern way with UK based talented musicians.
