WAIFU is a queer party in Tokyo that aims to be an intimate, safer space designed to be enjoyed by all kinds of open-minded people, regardless of gender, sexuality, race or age.This month's guest is WAIFU organizer and resident DJ Sobriety. This show was recorded at Kinone Pension in Narita, Japan. Located in the middle of Narita International Airport, right between the tarmac and a taxiway, Kinone is one of the last "protest huts" standing, where activists have been rallying since the 1960s in solidarity against the construction and subsequent expansions of the airport. Zambian rock or "Zamrock" (a portmanteau coined by DJ Manasseh Phiri) was one of the first Western pop-influenced music movements to emerge on the African continent, beginning almost instantly following the country's independence in the mid 1960s.

Gathering inspiration from James Brown, The Who, and other rock and funk greats of the era, Zambian bands like WITCH, Amanaz and others unleashed an unbridled DIY and rough rock sound that appears totally timeless.

" Hormoneoid JP is a show hosted by Ascalypso and KA4U from Osaka. Today, we've got a special mix tributes for Japanese rock band Buck-Tick whose lead singer Atsushi Sakurai passed away in October this year. The band is known as a pioneer in Japanese rock, electronic, gothic, industrial music, and It is well known that Autechre released a remix of this band in 1994 and its fee helped him to become a professional musician.
Today, we have invited a friend of ours who also loves the band very much, COGEE from Tokyo-based party crew Black Sheep and Kon Ran (混乱). With deep love and respect for the very irreplaceable band, KA4U created emotional & dope mix with some of the Buck-Tick tracks and breakbeats for the 1st half of the show, and COGEE got us his selection of Free Tekno and Juke/Footwork mixed with songs by the band for the 2nd hour. As far as under the radar yet semi legendary DJ's go, Japan is a real treasure trove for the meek and humble deep digger. Respected locally and around since day 2, but ignored by the industry elite in favor of the incestuous game of thrones international clubs and festivals play, DJ Rockdown (or simply Boss to his friends) is one such cat, skillful, knowledgeable, experimental, eclectic and plain old fun to watch and hear. If you travel a bit to the east you might run into him once, but don't hold your breath.. meantime make due with this snapshot.
