XEXA is a multidisciplinary Afrofuturist Portuguese artist with São Tomense ascendance. Her work reflects the exploration of sounds attempting a hybrid of traditional African rhythms with synthesizers, sound design and vocals. A new aesthetic voice in new networks of affiliation, cooperation and solidarity, with a promising future ahead - her debut LP is scheduled for release on Príncipe in the Fall of 2023.

You start to run while memories and the rush of the city are left behind and you enter a mesmerising forest of bamboo before you reach the wide fields of rice. The lúa is blooming. 

There are buffalos under the setting red sun and the wind is caring the whisper of your ancestors. It feels familiar.

In 2023, the CAF? label celebrates its fifth anniversary with an ever-expanding horizon of diverse projects, unrestricted by musical style. To date, CAF? has released 13 works ranging from Reymour’s synth-pop to Gino Ritmo & Ricci Verace’s Italo-disco, and from the soundtrack of Renée Van Trier’s performance to GANJ’s dubstep and the latincore club basses.
Taking control of the turntables for Mutant Radio are three members of the label: Tissu, Morizio Lemano and 28 Partner.
