The Trial of Greed

The song is a reflection by a prisoner during Christmas who feels sad, alone, and far from home while observing the contrast between holiday media and their desolate situation inside, where they believe Santa does not come visiting. Despite having no presents to open or traditional comforts like beer, no wine, the narrator resolves to smile and make it worthwhile, finding temporary relief by drifting away in dreams and fantasies filled with memories.
