Lucy Lowis is 17 year old singer/songwriter from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Lucy’s passion for art, animals and living a cruelty-free existence find an outlet in these artistic creations.  Lucy's introspective lyrics and compelling performances allow easy connection with fans. Lucy's songs and artwork are born of personal experiences in life and a positive outlook on life and observations of everyday simple joy are consistent themes. She also touches on more sensitive topics of love, loss and the human condition. Lucy has always been immersed in music creation, performers and instruments, spending most a childhood regularly in and around a recording studio. Lucy was featured at school talent shows from 3rd grade onward, playing a guitar that dwarfed Lucy's small frame and singing in a confident, strong voice, well beyond years actually lived.

In 2018, Lucy recorded demos of a few original songs, which caught the attention of Michigan artists in the Andrew Fisher Quartet, who invited Lucy to open for the band. Lucy's original song, Safe Haven, was featured at a holiday fundraiser and was also showcased performer alongside several seasoned musicians.

Safe Haven, Sunshine Girl and Waiting have accumulated significant credited online plays, cresting 1,000,000 spins on Spotify in early 2022.

In 2021, Lucy was asked to contribute (2) Elliott Smith cover songs for Kill Rock Stars 30th Anniversary Compilation (Stars Rock Kill (Rock Stars).   Check out Lucy's renditions of No Name # 1 and Say Yes everywhere you stream music. #KRS30YRS

Lucy was selected as one the 3 finalists at the Fretboard Festival in Kalamazoo in early 2019. Lucy's debut album “Seventh Cycle Soul,” was released in 2020, featuring a full band on many tracks.  Lucy is making plans for a second full length album to be released in late 2022.

Inspired by the ever-changing seasons of life, Lucy Lowis crafts a sound that floats into the existential clouds of self-reflection and hope. The 16-year-old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist paints vibrant sonic images through diverse instrumentation, driven primarily by ukulele, guitar, and piano. 

Lucy’s voice floats over each song with a levity that gently lifts the listener into another realm. Lowis employs an array of rich harmonies that swirl around bright and airy lead melodies.  

Lowis spends their free time expressing creative interests through songwriting, drawing, and painting. 

Lucy’s debut album, “Seventh Cycle Soul,” is a collection of personal reflections and stories that trace through the nuances of daily life. 

“Music is a big part of my life, but it isn't the only thing I’m interested in,” Lowis says. “It's kind of a piece to the puzzle that is my life. It’s something that makes me happy and inspires me. I put my music out there and I hope people can relate it to their world and feel like they’re less alone.”

In addition to pouring time into their musical work, Lowis is also passionate about education and environmental awareness, maintaining a vegetarian and eco-friendly lifestyle.  Lucy has several rescued animals and promotes adopting from your local shelter.
