Echoes of Tomorrow

My latest single, Rebirth, was inspired by the unexpected and welcome lessons that have emerged throughout the past 2 years since starting this solo music project.

It is about allowing myself to express my creativity in all its glory. Allowing myself to be seen for all that I feel I am on the inside.

Despite being a confident person, I had too often heard negative comments made about myself or others for being a little extra. I cannot tell you the amount of times I was called ‘weird’ ‘unit’ ‘freak’ ‘crazy’ etc. when I was younger and I wondered why the quirky, unique parts of me seemed to bring out such negative words from many people. 

We are also taught that being confident means you have a big ego or in Australia, basically you’re a ‘wanker’ or a ‘show off’ and that was a major barrier for me ever wanting to put myself out there.

So, I let my creative energy thrive in isolation, building a very solid relationship with myself, but dialled it down around others to be more palatable. That was the most boring thing I ever did.

These days, I say fuck that mentality. I’m taking more notice of who supports that expression and unapologetically moving on from people and places that don’t support that expression. It’s liberating beyond measure.

Social media has become a wonderful outlet for me to express the sides of myself that often go unseen in ‘real life’. For me, it has been a playground of self-expression. It has been a major part of my ‘rebirth’, as it’s allowed me to freely express the dimensions of myself that are far more aligned with who I am at the core, yet far less acceptable to express in most social and workplace settings. It brought SheisArjuna to life and gave me a space to express my music and the ‘me-ness’ that goes along with it. 

I am so very grateful for my online community who mirror back the love. 

Creativity forms the foundations for my home and my heart and it seeps into everything I adore in this life. It feels so good to honour that in this next level way.

Written as a healing anthem for my mum as she battles cancer, I hope this song can be used by anyone who needs a reminder of the immense healing power they possess within themselves.

Self-produced, mixed & mastered, SheisArjuna drops her new single, The Earth Is a Real Honey on Valentine's Day  to celebrate her love for nature. This boppy, feel good indie-pop song invites the listener to 'slow down and take it all in for a minute, you gotta feel it in your bones'. 
After all, if we didn't have this magical and diverse mothership, we wouldn't be here. Will you be my valentine?

The Earth Is A Real Honey

Hold Ya is a song about a dystopian, apocalyptic future caused by the unconscious actions of humans but in parallel it is also a love song. If we ruin the environment, there will be no place to experience love and all the other magical aspects of being human. 

It’s a call to action for people to be more conscious of their impact on others and on the planets, but written through the eyes of all the lovers out there ✨💛🌍

This song is about the importance of cultivating a strong sense of self-belief. 

It forms the very foundation for how you view the world and your place within it. It is the lens you look through, In essence, it’s the blueprint for what it feels like to be you. 

A strong sense of self-belief may come more naturally for some more than others depending on life circumstances & experiences, but I do feel that it is something that should be cultivated and nurtured in everyone as a priority for overall wellness. 

When you belief in yourself, at your very core, you create an unshakable sense that you can do or be whatever you put your mind to. You will not be governed by external forces or potential criticism and you will make choices that align with your inner compass and you may even defy odds that are stacked against you.

The power of belief & mindset is strong. When you fine-tune this power, you will know what feels good for YOU and you will learn to honour that as you move through life. 

It doesn’t mean that you won’t have down days or low patches, as they are inevitable and in some ways even necessary for growth but it means that your foundational stronghold of belief in yourself will make it so much easier to get back up during those inevitably hard times. 

Your ability to hold non-judgemental space for yourself, to honour your light, dark and everything in between will ultimately see you through the natural ups and downs of life.

You Better Start Believing

Waves is an affirmation, a mantra for resilience in the form of a Soulful, Conscious Pop Song. Pop where empowerment replaces sex appeal. It's a song that reminds you that although you can't control all that occurs in your life, you can do your best to control your responses. Waves inspires the calm.

I hear music and rhythm in the mundane, in dripping taps, washing machine spin cycles and car indicators ticking away. Music is and always has been my soulmate. Rhythms is an ode to the past, and plants a seed of hope for the future. It's conscious pop with an RnB twist.

The concentric circle. Shapes within shapes with a common centre. This symbolises how despite our diversity, humans are intrinsically connected by our place here on Earth. 
This song is unique to my other tracks, an instrumental, floaty guitar track ideal for relaxing.
