Mista Willie was born and raised in the City of Philadelphia (“City of Brotherly Love”).  He discovered he had musical talents and at the age of 8, Pastor Jannie Wade of Mount Carmel Baptist Church introduced him to his first endeavor in the music world.  By the age 10, he was playing the piano for different churches in an out of his community.  As time went on Glaaze found another love in the music field for vinyl records.  In 1988, as a neighborhood DJ he played everything from block parties to weddings.  Some of his famous influences were DJ Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money and DJ Miz from the Philadelphia area.  There were also a few older DJ’s in his neighborhood such as Odie and DJ Dave that influenced him as well.  By 1991, Mista Willie won the battle of the neighborhood DJ’s and yet took music a step higher to become an audio engineer for films and mixed music for a variety of artist in various genres of music throughout the tristate area.
