A throwback little original by The Southern Tiers produced in the vein of classic sixties beach, rock, pop harkening the feel of the likes of She and Him, Best Coast, The Beach Boys, The Wonders, The Beatles, and other classic favorites.

The Southern Tiers met in Nashville at songwriting competition, Nashville Rising Star. Michelle Knopick and Samuel J. Barrows began writing and performing together and have since been working on sharing songs that will put a smile on your face and a sweetness in your heart. Sam and Michelle brandished The Southern Tiers name in honor of their coincidental  birthplace, as both have roots in upstate NY.

Michelle took on the life of an artist after graduating from Belmont University with a bachelor’s in music and gaining ground on the airwaves, with her music finding placements on Bill Cody’s WSM Radio and BBC Radio. Samuel moved to Nashville to pursue his music career after earning airplay on independent radio in Wisconsin and success in performing around the Wisconsin/Minnesota area.

Both singer/songwriters come together to sing an Americana blend of styles from 60’s pop to traditional country and folk with their unique voices blending in soothing harmony. Michelle’s sultry, folky voice blending with Sam’s earthy tenor offer a sound incomparable when paired with their music which harkens back to simpler days and raw emotion.
