Craving the Mist

The intro to this track was certainly meant to be as long as it is before hitting the more chaotic transition into the rest of the song, more specifically with the intro to this I was trying to capture the feeling of lonesomely floating in the deep dark depths of the ocean, the sound of the intro for me is what I would imagine that feeling to sound like, scary yet soothing, distant yet close. The calm before the storm of the rest of the song that awaits.

I wanted to slow things waaaaay down with this one and keep the progression simple while trying to capture a certain emotion. You may call it melancholy, but I was looking for something much more specific than that. I hope this sparks up some type of deeper emotion with you as it did for me.
