From the context of modern and recorded history. The Phoenix Lights (UFO incident) was one of the most widely observed and reported UFO sightings. Including sightings reported by then Governor of Arizona, Fife Symington. As well, sighting and reporting to the control tower by actor - Kurt Russell. Who was just about to land at the Phoenix Airport and noticed the object/lights in the sky. 
Overall and is the case with most UFO sightings, the incident remains contested. 

That being said, from an artistic perspective: In this tune, I am hypothesizing how extra-terrestrial beings may choose to contact with our species. With a focus on the kind of stories that the two species may want to share with each other.
