We had the pleasure of seeing Mystery Affair at Panorama Bar in Berlin this past fall, and to say the set was magical was an understatement. We knew we needed her talent and special sound selection on the podcast. When she agreed, we were super excited, and are even more excited to share this podcast with you.

Mystery Affair is a Mexican DJ, Producer and Promoter. Among her achievements is the creation of her own recording lable, MONOCERO RECORDS. She’s also featured as part of the DJ list in SUNDAY SUNDAY Guadalajara party scene and proud member of the BORN IN MEXICO family. Her signature hypnodance sets explore the alleys of house, italo disco, dark disco and techno, managing every time to set the dance floor in fire.

5년 전, 어떤 프로젝트를 위해 제작되었던 믹스셋이 이제서야 제목이 붙고 세상에 나올 수 있게 되었다. 오랫동안 방치되었고 나 또한 잊고 있었다. 시간 참 빠르다.

Five years ago, the mixset, which was produced for a new project, is now entitled and available on Soundcloud. It had been neglected for a long time and I also forgot. Time flies so fast.

남조선에서 유일하게 요리사이자 화가이며 디스크쟈키까지 병행하는 사람으로서
대한민국 최장수 디스코 크루인 YMEA와 오리지날 디스코 음악만을 취급하는 East Disko Wav.크루의 멤버이다.
디스코와 이탈로디스코, 훵크 및 시티팝과 함께 근래에 들어서는 잊혀질 뻔 했던 70년대 대한민국의 훵크 및 경음악들을 플레이하며 좀 더 많은 국가들의 옛 음악들에 귀를 기울이려고 노력하는 중이다. 
 
이번 타이거디스코의 믹셋 [월드 훵크 제네레이션]은 한국,일본,미국 등 옛날 각국에서 울려퍼지던 베이스음이 강하며 끈적이는 기분을 주는 훵크 및 디스코 음악들을 간추려 만들었으며 이를 통해 타이거디스코가 근래에 들어 가장 관심 깊게 듣는 음악들이 무엇인지도 추측 해볼 수 있을것이다.

음반은
모임 별이 2018년 10월 22일(CD 기준) 발매한
두번째 정규 음반 ‘주인 없는 금(Nobody’s Gold)’ 
수록곡 ‘콩 이야기’의 리믹스 트랙을 
준비하며 제작이 시작되었다.

이를 위해 모임 별은 
평소 깊이 애정/존경하던 동료 음악가인
DJ Soulscape, 불싸조(Bulssazo), 
이민휘(MinWhee Lee), 오혁(Ohhyuk),
주파수 오대리(ODÆRI)에게
정중히 작업을 의뢰하였다.

의뢰는 ‘콩 이야기’ 원곡을 구성하는 모든 개별 트랙들, 미디 파일 등의 정보와 함께
어떠한 제약도 없음(예시로 1시간짜리 무음 트랙도 가능함을 제시)을
전달 하였다.
음반은 이를 통해 받은 리믹스/프로듀스 결과물과 신곡들 및 라이브 레코딩을 포함 
총 열다섯 곡을 수록한 콤팩트 디스크, 
모임 별 구성원인 허유가 아이폰으로 촬영한 사진들로 구성된 80페이지 부클릿(17x24cm)
그리고 다운로드 코드로 구성되어 있다.
