On the flip, Passing is built on a deceivingly simple hook, sparkled with drones over a pounding 909. Ascend brings it all home with a gradually evolving hook, stripped down to the bare bones yet still offering a powerful crescendo.

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, he made a name for himself playing on a regular basis in his home city for the last couple of years as a resident of the Subject.Dublin parties, District 8 and more.

After hearing his track ‘Oiche’ on the Fiedeltwo Various Artists last year and getting to know each other during a long party in a dark place, it was just a a matter of time to get him on board. Robert crafted a super effective, hypnotic and spacey four-tracker E.P. called ‘Final Approach’. All the necessary ingredients are perfectly mixed together to make you dance: clean kicks, polished basslines, incisive hi-hats, killer snares, percussive toms, dreamy pads and more. Junodownload Review:  Mode_1 is best known for his DJ sets at the recently shuttered District 8 club in Dublin. He now takes the expertise that he built up spinning in that venue and applies it to his dance floor productions. "Shifted" kick starts the release in high-paced mode with an eerie rhythm track swooping in to the sound of furious claps. "Satellites" is more reserved but similar in mood, as resonating, tonal bleeps unfold over staccato drums. On "Final Approach", he ups the intensity levels again, with a pounding kick underpinning bleak tones, while closing out this debut EP is the slightly deeper but still forceful tech-house of "Lasting Thought".

Lights Out Premiere: Benjamin Damage - Surge [Figure]

After an impressive two decades career, Croatian techno scene powerhouse Insolate has released her debut album on her label Out of Place.

The album, titled "Order is Chaos," is coming out as a double vinyl and contains 10 tracks with extremely interesting collaborations, one of which is a collaboration with American-born and Berlin-based Matrixxman.  

Their collab track “Monolith” stands out from the others as being the perfect blend of their authentic styles: dark, moody and trippy repetitive techno. However, this album goes deeper than just a straight-forward techno album and you can hear that even after you listen to it for the first time. Transdimensional vocals blended in the atmospheric pads and coated with broken techno beats in a collaboration with Croatian singer Sara Renar is something we still haven’t had a chance to hear from Insolate. 

"Order is Chaos" sways and shudders from floor-obliterating bangers like acid-drenched "Circulation" to "Lust" with her trademark sound, and of course our premiere for today, the “homage track” ReWerk--a remake of the old track "Werk," she released back in 2016 on legendary Deeply Rooted.
