My producer "Roddy Bo", found a foreign girl singing, we don't know what she's saying but we built a song around her. It would be nice if someone would help with a translation. So I can add it to a CD with confidence.

A collaboration, I sent Roddy Bo an idea from an Arabic track,
Roddy Bo dropped a track, I did my thing and layed down my rap, then sent it to my folks in Yemen. DJ Mixx Nabeel, who added that Yemeni mizmar and flavor.... BAM!

My time in Yemen included war, struggle, loss of electricity, no gas, and planes flying over every other day waking us up at 4am with bombs exploding shaking the house, scaring the kids as well as the adults.
While that was going on outside I was writing this song inside.

This track was written in Yemen, at the height of the WAR, No Gas, No Electricity, BOMBS exploding, scaring the women and kids, shaking the walls, I'm listening to music, chewing qat, smoking Shisha, and writing songs.

This was a U.N. Project in Yemen, helping Somalian refugees....and the rest was magic. With (Somalian group) S.O.Legion. This got us on documentary "Shake the Dust" produced by NAS and THAT got us on Rolling Stones magazine.

Lampadina means lantern (in Amharic). She was his light.
I was so inspired about the story I decided to make a remake.
