Mercurio makes his long-awaited return to Sudbeat with an exciting 3 track EP. 

Coming to global recognition in 2003, Mercurio combines a love of electronic music with live instrumentation and has been a firm favourite for many many years. Signed to Yoshitoshi, Flow Vinyl and more, his music has been featured on the albums of Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo. A regular highlight at the past Creamfields Buenos Aires, his live show is a spectacle all of its own. 

First up is 'Todo Pasa' an upbeat summery vibe rich in musicality. Arps glisten against the sparse percussive framework and robust Reese bass. A real arms aloft anthem. Next is 'Bane' a deeper cut with powerful low end. Ebbing against the rubbery bass, vocal shots echo around the space becoming a new melody line. Finally, 'Seconds Away' rounds out the EP. It's been nearly a year since the sensational 'Dogma EP' came out and in that time Paul Deep has continued to astound and entertain. His trademark style enveloping the listener in a warm blanket of melancholy angst which never lets go.

The 77th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital brings the talented Colombian producer Juan Pablo Torrez back into the spotlight. His newest single "Rome" is accompanied with two powerhouse remixes by Tom Zeta from The Netherlands and Rauschhaus from Germany.

His collaboration with fellow countryman, Kamilo Sanclemente, titled "Arisen" saw a 2015 debut on Perspectives Digital with "Two Souls Reconciliation" and "Anxiety" following in March 2018. His newest track "Rome" is a heady cocktail of thumping beats and a rumbling grooved bassline married to dramatic melodic sequences and dense atmosphere. Building through immaculate white noise transitions and effortless drops, a reverb-drenched vocal adds gravitas playing out in intermittent phrases post-breakdown. The result is an arpeggiated monster that bristles with dynamic energy and dancefloor brio.

The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc back for his third appearance. 2019 proved to be another year of successes for the Finnish artist and Replug label boss. The March release of his well received ‘Via Karela’ EP got the year underway, setting the stage for contributions to Hernan Catteneo’s ‘Balance Presents Sunsetstrip’ compilation and the Armadillo Records ‘Fields, Vol. 1’ collection. October then saw Henri commemorate Replug’s ten-year anniversary with the Orsen collaboration ‘Ten’, before returning to Guy J’s Lost and Found Records with a chart-topping remix of Kasper Koman’s ‘Hi’ to round the year out in style. The beginning of 2020 has been equally inspired, with remixes for Beat Boutique and Einmusika, along with the March release of his acclaimed ‘Citadel’ EP. Having delivered his remake of James Holden’s ‘A Break In The Clouds’ to our series in 2018, Cid Inc now returns with his much requested edit of The Beloved ‘Sweet Harmony’ (Kosmas Epsilon & Zorz 'Northern People' Bootleg Mix). Released in 2004 as a white label only, the track proved impactful, earning play from a broad spectrum of A-list Djs and firmly etching its place in the history of progressive music. Long a favourite of Cid Inc, the Replug boss took to re-editing the classic last year, resulting in months of play from Hernan Cattaneo. Now after much demand we’re happy to offer the track as an exclusive free download. We hope you enjoy it.

Hailing from the Amazone riverbanks in South-America but stationed in the South of the Netherlands: meet Kapibara. The brothers are known to infuse their cultural heritage into their music and shows. Kapibara aims at a wide array of fascinating sounds: sometimes dark and deep, sometimes colorful and ecstatic, but always a harmonic blending of storytelling percussion power and melodic madness.

Kapibara’s signature sound floats somewhere between melodic, afro, house and techno. Converging feeling and emotion into a pallet of natural grooves. These chameleons bring great adaptability and they are fully attuned to each other when playing their b2b sets. As a hoster of their jungle-infused Taka Tuka, they get all the space they need to go on expedition in the electronic spectrum.

For the 9th instalment on @alphamusiclabel we welcome the new arrival of Maltese up and coming artist, VOOR, where he takes us into the Fifth Dimension.

The headlining track, "Fifth Dimension", kicks of a with a mystic aura, loosing you in a forest of synth, as the penetrating arp comes in, raining down. Dragging the listener into a trance, the falling arp drags you into a mystic and melodic breakdow with beautiful piano notes, only to be broken into a groovy dancing vibes by the rain falling arp. An undeniably emotional track.

Next in order comes "Virgo". Starts off making one think it will be almost a dubby calm track, but VOOR had other intentions. A round rolling bass only to introduce a heavy arp-esque bassline and dark melodic tones, broken down with a blipping sound, only to find yourself with a throwback drumroll of snares that take you into a vicious beat-bass-melody combination, that will carry with its dark tones throughout the track. A definitive dancefloor weapon.

For the last of the originals we have "Blooming Days". A light crackle over an approaching rythmic bass prepare the environment for an evolving melody and growing pads that open up into a tense breakdown. An uncertain calm moment of rest before the sharp arp takes you into a hypnosys of danceable sounds that will move you body.

Closing the EP, we welcome Cuprite with a remix of "Virgo". With an assertive progressive vibe, but a fast pace that will hype up everyone's body. An evolving bass, going from a trancy vibe to an almost disco tone, creates a surprising funky vibe that will keep everyone guessing what happens next, as they shake their body to the irresistible groove. Keeping the epic melodic tones from the original, we find ourselves with a track that trails between the realm of funky groove and hard hitting progressive. It might be the first time we receive Cuprite, but definitely not the last.

AB009 offers a dancefloor oriented focus, with entrancing melodies and hard beats that will be pleasant to anyone's ears.

A no-nonsense brute of a tune that couldn’t be more Selador if Dave Seaman & Steve Parry had spawned a lovechild, (apologies if that is now an image you cannot unsee!) it’s unwavering driving bassline providing the foundation for some detuned arp work to rise and fall in climatic waves. 

All of which comes accompanied by the equally dynamic ’Overdue’. Another peak time offering that this time brings a more melodic sensibility to the fore. Packed with a visceral energy that takes you to places you’d almost forgotten existed, now we’re just showboating ;)'
