Dream MELO Feat BEMZA Connexion 2 Dingue

After several years dreaming of doing a real music record, I finally got into this crazy project after the release of my first single « My Love », early 2019.

Back then « My Love » already encapsulated some of my inspirations, spanning from Random Access Memories by Daft Punk to the works of my top soul/pop artists Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince and James Brown.

At this point I was just done with setting up my new home studio and could finally make a reality out of the ideas that were florishing in my mind. An instrumental track «Ignition» and two more songs «No Wonder» and «Get Wild» were done, following the same direction as «My Love». Thene I needed to make a new song from scratch to answer the ascending energy of «Ignition». «In Da Club» came up this way with a little more puch and disco influances.

Being a hip-hop enthusiast too, I wanted to include this genre into my first EP. I started scouting for MCs whose voice and flow would bring this old-school vibe to another track produced for the occasion. I did not have to look too far: Emcee Agora, also coming from Rouen, crossed my path. His lyrical skills blended with the instrumental to morph «Face The World» into a real boom-bap inspired tune.

All songs were produced with analog gear including synthesizers (Prophet, Moog) and acoustic instruments (Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Drums, Fender Precision Bass…). This combination gives the new project warm and colored textures it deserves, acting as an Elixir.
