This song is titled the last ballad of Mardana - and is about leaving a beautiful life, to death we must all part, even those who have lived a beautiful blissfull life. I had tried to imagine How Mardana must of felt knowing he is going to depart this life, and here he plays his last ballad to Guru Nanak, knowing he departs with this last song, forever.

The dance of death. I was inspired to make this track upon reading the Sri Dasam Granth. There is no poet like Guru Gobind Singh, his poetry illuminates the mind and heart with utmost beauty.

The sword chops well, chops the forces of fools and this mighty one bedecks and glorifies the battlefield.

ਭੁਜ ਦੰਡ ਅਖੰਡੰ ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੰ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਮੰਡੰ ਭਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੰ ॥
भुज दंड अखंडं तेज प्रचंडं जोति अमंडं भान प्रभं ॥
It is the unbreakable staff of the arm, it has the powerful luster and its light even bedims the radiance of the sum.

ਸੁਖ ਸੰਤਾ ਕਰਣੰ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦਰਣੰ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਹਰਣੰ ਅਸਿ ਸਰਣੰ ॥
सुख संता करणं दुरमति दरणं किलबिख हरणं असि सरणं ॥
It brings happiness to the saints, mashing the vicious ones, it is the destroyer of sins and I and under its refuge.

ਜੈ ਜੈ ਜਗ ਕਾਰਣ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਉਬਾਰਣ ਮਮ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰਣ ਜੈ ਤੇਗੰ ॥੨॥

song inspired by devotional story of bhai gurdas

King HariChand had a queen with beautiful eyes, Tara, who had made his home the abode of comforts. 
At night she would go to the place where in the form of Holy Congregation, would recite the Holy hymns. 
After she had left, the King awoke in the middle of the night and realised she had gone.
He could not find the Queen anywhere and his heart filled with astonishment 
The following night he followed the young queen. 
The queen reached the Holy Congregation and the King lifted one of her sandals from there (so that he could prove the infidelity of the queen). 
When about to go, the queen concentrated upon the Holy Congregation and the one sandal became a pair. 
The King upheld this feat and realized that there her matching sandal was a miracle. 
I am sacrifice unto the Holy Congregation.(6)
