For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side. 

I know it's been a few moons between mix's but I've been a bit tied up. That doesn't mean there's a lack of ridiculously good music coming through. This one I've been holding onto for a while now, and it's a very special one indeed. Number 24. The masterful Max Graef himself is responsible for this broadcast of the broadest of castings and I couldn't be more excited to present it to you. 



Max holds a very special spot in not only my heart but also in many hearts around the world. A little known fact is that Max played in Andy Hart's live band at the very first Inner Varnika all those years ago and since then he has gained some serious momentum.  He works for it, man does he work for it. He eats, sleeps and breaths all things music and it shows. His multitude of incredible ep's, remixes and his masterworks of albums, including one of my personal all-time favourites, River’s of the red planet (TIP!). Weaving through his different alias's and monikers, never sticking to the same movement, his love for hip-hop, rock and all things jazz shines through harmoniously throughout his career. He even released an album with his father (Random Funktion / TIP!). Max literally embodies music itself, and it turns out he's just a normal human being, one the nicest and most humble on the planet - and fuck is he funny. After bringing him out all these times he still has every second of the day to just hang out and chill and he couldn't be happier doing so. The bonus to bringing him out has been being able to witness him DJ, his self driven confidence in being able to play whatever the fuck he wants has a certain contagiousness to it, literally taking the dancer for a ride through his mind, stimulating and educating with no choice but to move, it just depends on how you do it. His last set in Melbourne at the Fairfield amphitheater was mind blowing, something I hope to never forget (in-fact I think we have the recording of it somewhere).  



Since the birth of this whole "thing", Max has been on the top of my list purely because of the above reasons, as well wanting to get deeper inside that mind of his. And that we did. The result is a chaotically holistic submarine ride through nearly every single nerve ending. A beautifully constructed cocktail of psych-rock, dream-pop, cosmic-folk and everything in between. It’s a rare treat to get a mix off Max and when he was just as excited as I was for him to do it I knew we were in for a treat. Best enjoyed on an old hi-fi system with a big glass of cognac and a cuppla jazz cigarillo’s. So without further a-due, it is my absolute honour to present this mix to you.
