As we find ourselves in the eye of the storm during the most deteriorated epoch in modern history, Mizgîn, meaning "good news" in Kurdish, was motivated by the desire to offer respite from the horrors of the world. Shelter's ambition to unite different regional music scenes has once again brought together artists from nearly every continent, with contributions from legendary names.

This compilation is dedicated to everyone struggling towards the liberation of the oppressed.

Pablo Ramirez, also known as Dj Fucci (formerly Aladar), is a producer, audio engineer and DJ originally from Mexico.

As co-founder of Mexican record label WAVA WAVA, Dj Fucci has been at the forefront of electronic music for years, creating innovative sounds and unexpected beats that have led him to perform at some of the world's most important venues and festivals, including Ceremonia 2023.

He has shared the stage with some of the most prominent artists in underground electronic music, including FJAAK, Batu, Efdemin, Pearson Sound, Nick Leon, Jubilee, Aurora Halal, and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Eartheater, DJ Swisha, Nick Leon, Jensen Interceptor, Susobrino, Ikonika, Jasss, CRRDR, Malo2k, Saphir22, Plvybvy, among others.

Dj Fucci has released music on important international platforms such as Dekmantel, Boiler Room, HOR Berlin, Fabric Lndn, Boomkat, Resident Advisor, and has worked with labels such as NAAFI, International Chrome (Berlin), Lobster Theremin, Vnión, Voragine, LOWERS, Discos Sentimiento, Antimateria Sonora, FUTURABLE, AERONEMA, Artfisia, among others.

In addition, Dj Fucci is known for his ability to build an audible story, and his record label, WAVA WAVA, has set the standard in the music scene, consolidating itself as one of the most important in Mexico and Latin America.

His latest release "Milpa" (NAAFI) has gained global recognition in a short period of time. Further consolidating his position as one of the most promising up-and-comers on Mexico's underground scene.

They are a horrific wake-up call that brutally brings the precarious situation on our planet to the fore. The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, and Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinian civilians are intolerable. On top of that, the military actions threaten the lives of the remaining hostages in the Gaza-Strip, and even more innocent people in Gaza.

'Trve' is a piece for Harp & Live-Electronics, composed by Kaspar Kuoppamäki for Fanny Herbst. This work explores the convergence of acoustic and electronic elements, with each movement focusing on distinct playing techniques and preparations.

The acoustic sound design forms the foundation of the composition: bowing on the harp strings creates resonant drones, attaching hair-clips to the strings generates a delicate, bell-like timbre and the pedal-buzz creates an organic, distortion-like effect. These sounds and gestures are further expanded through live-electronics crafted in the visual programming environment Max/MSP, adding layers of complexity and texture.

"If you had to live your life over and over again for eternity, how would you live it? What does making choices mean? The contingencies of a life unravel my senses."

Throughout the course of 10 tracks of ‘Wiederkunft Eternal LP‘, the debut album by German producer thirdworldlabour, a digitally cold climate dominates throughout while a specific kind of affectivity is captured in each track. The sound design ranges from emotionally brutal (within) and uncanny (diminished spirits) to blissfully divine (a seamless float to another dome). An emphasis of using chopped vocal samples together with choir-like ambience often creates an ethereal atmosphere which subsequently is shattered by seemingly primitive and at times overtly mechanistic drum programming. Repeatedly Cryogenic synth melodies are paired with unwavering percussion that evoke connotations of fully automated, industrial production processes (many fathers/ancestral transition). Whereas in other parts, steady vocal arpeggios prevail in a textural landscape which seems to dissolve itself into non-physicality (disintegration II).
Reflected in the works title, the album draws upon the concept of the 'Eternal Return' which has its origins in non-western philosophy. The concept relates to the notion of pre-determinism and assumes that time and space are infinite progresses in which the individual is living their life over and over again in a never ending recurrent cycle.
Wiederkunft Eternal examines said concept within the expressive potential of sound and specifically tries to investigate the relationship between hope and despair as central themes in human experience.
