Jūra is composer, vocalist and improviser. Focusing on interaction of voice and electronics, human psychology, social behavior, transdisciplinary creative projects and improvisation moves her to constantly expand the field of her approach and methods in composing and performing music.

The freshest realization of X/TENSIONS for voice and electronics has been performed by Jūra Elena Šedytė and her creative partner Ieva Rižė. In this EP the intangible, invisible and always very unique human instrument - the voice - flourish in the world of objects and symbols, created by two artists. The subtle verbal and instrumental expression metamorphosis, rhythm and vibrations layered with visual materials are born and creates the parallel of the real world. The extension of the body through the voice creates tension in the processes of sound embodiment.

and mixed by Ziggy Devriendt, also known as Nosedrip of the
record label Stroom. From the drab to the sublime, from decay
to grandeur, from the natural to the industrial, from the pastoral
to the absence of urban planning, Belgium’s sights have always
both inspired and disheartened. This podcast touches upon
the dizzying rush of landscapes, perspectives and credos that
comes with travelling through Belgium, resulting in a magnificent

Meakusma, les ateliers claus and Stroom present EUPEN-OSTEND by Nosedrip

As Dollkraut, Pascal Pinkert very much operates out on his own. His mastery of sound makes for music that is at once from the future but also reminiscent of the past. Fusing synth and new wave, pop hooks and a knack for rough riding grooves, he is a versatile producer who can freak you out or make you open your heart. The Dutchman does so with releases on labels like Doppelschall and The Gym; releases that soon sell out and become much sought after. His latest is the gritty yet romantic Holy Ghost People album, which is due on Jennifer Cardini’s new label in March. 

The same haunting but spaced out 70s sound that characterises his music and DJ sets also defines the mix he has put together for us here. It’s a jaunty journey through a cinematic and upbeat world of naive pop, electro boogie, robot disco and glam-synth gorgeousness that oozes style. Few DJs have a sound that manages to be as aesthetically tight yet musically diverse and this, but Dollkraut pulls it off with ease.

Ils ont notamment publié l’été dernier leur premier various « Check Your Reality », un bien beau mélange entre inspirations balearic, percussions tribales et mélodies ésotériques. Le crew est composé de DJ Ungel, DJ Unsecurity, Kaschiel, ainsi que d’Aki Aki & Rasputin, dont le super side-project Phaser boys est sorti début 2018 sur Aiwo. Un EP éponyme avec une esthétique sonore dans la lignée du « Les Portes Du Brionnais » des Pilotwings, auxquelles viennent s’ajouter des rythmiques breakbeat percutantes et ultra énergétiques.

Amsterdam-based label Knekelhuis presents their 21st release, a brilliant desolated cinematic journey from german producer and DJ Philipp Otterbach. This EP is composed of five different soundscapes, melancholic and uncanny ambient composed around ethereal samples, impulsive electronic rhythms, deep industrial backgrounds and mesmerizing modular synths variations. This superb and singular record will be out on vinyl and digital on April 1st.
