Rodney fully immersed himself in the San Francisco underground music scene upon moving to the city from Los Angeles in 2014. With a respectful understanding of the unique culture that exists around collecting and playing vinyl, Rodney pursued deeper musical knowledge and a fine-tuning of his skills under the mentorship of Tyrel Williams. His unwavering love for vinyl quickly extended into his life away from his decks at home, ushering him into working for Vinyl Dreams and RS94109; two of San Francisco’s most beloved record stores. Rodney recently moved back to LA and is already on his way to becoming an LA underground staple.

Timothy J. Fairplay has been a feature of electronic music now for nearly two decades, first playing electro and ghettotech in the early 00’s, his time in Cold Wave band Battant, or his time as a duo with Andrew Weatherall in the Asphodells, as well as his solo work. Just back from playing at this years DT Camp, Timothy has spent much of this year, between gigs working on new music for his new label Dungeon Module, some of which is included in this mix which along the way includes weirdo ambient, soundtrack, jak, industrial and techno sounds.

He first began releasing material as Silent Servant during the mid-2000s, when he was a key member of the influential techno collective Sandwell District. Following numerous well-received underground singles, he made a major impact on the techno world with Negative Fascination, his acclaimed 2012 full-length debut. Following Mendez's co-founding of the Jealous God label in 2013, as well as several singles and collaborations with the likes of Marcel Dettmann and Phase Fatale, Silent Servant released his second album, the more overtly EBM-influenced Shadows of Death and Desire, in 2018.  2023 sees Mendez continuing to Play the US and Europe, New releases On L.I.E.S., Tresor and maintaining his sixth year of the Optimistic Decay radio show on NTS.
