Richard is one of the great minds behind the legendary SUB:SYSTEM, a party run throughout undiscovered warehouse spaces in London. The SUB:SYSTEM community has become a staple in the underground nightlife and rave scene in the capital, and has pioneered a space for expression and exploration into the psychedelic sound of the incredible roster of DJs and artists that have soundtracked their parties over the years.

As a DJ he has a deep, expansive understanding of the prog-rolling, euphoric and psychedelic space. Through his mixes Richard never fails to create a continual state of hypnosis and energy with trance-inducing drums and throbbing synths throughout. With this mix we’re treated to an hour of old school, undiscovered rollers. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!

For Patterns of Perception 112, we're very excited to welcome back @kondukukonduku - a truly stellar all-round talent and dear friend of our collective. 

Four whole years have passed since we last featured Konduku in our mix series. In this time, he has reached new creative heights, adding textures, shades and vibrancy to his distinctive sound - in the process finding homes for highly touted releases on the likes of @spaziodisponibile, Mantis (via @delsinrecords), @nousklaeraudio, @amenthia-recordings (with @aasudd) and most recently @djnobu_bitta's Bitta.

As a DJ, his creativity and skills are similarly vaunted, and see him regularly take the stage at key festivals, venues and events across Europe and Asia. 

Recorded live at Patterns of Perception @ OHM Berlin on Apr 21, 2023, Konduku's Patterns of Perception 112 is a showcase of his thrilling abilities behind the decks. Unpredictable yet totally engrossing, this set is a profound tale of tension and release. Tightly wound grooves and eerie psychedelia leading us unerringly to ecstasy. A fine balance of intuition, control and spirit from a visionary artist in full-flight.

space•cast 12 comes from Argentina's Forest on Stasys, producer of beautifully deep, hypnotic and rhythmic techno records on labels like Lowless, Harmony and his own Danza Nativia. 

He's also an extremely accomplished DJ and here we have an hour of skilfully crafted and immersive broken beat and halftime grooves, a trip through a subterranean forest.

Night Garden is a musical project embodying an imagined space between our conscious reality & the world of dreams. It is a liminal point in space & time; a home to drifting forms & sounds unknown. 

This mix is a re-recording of a set he played at a very beloved party in a field somewhere in the south of England and is themed around the time of dawn. Rising with the sun, it blooms from the misty atmospherics of the early morning into the full energy of the day.

Human Lessons #074 - Night Garden

Oceanic enthrals both as a DJ and a producer, weaving immersive and shape-shifting environments that dissolve boundaries. Known for his releases on the esteemed Nous'klaer label, including his critically acclaimed 2023 debut album “Choral Feeling”, Oceanic harnesses forces larger than life, inviting audiences to embark on musical journeys toward uncharted territories, fostering collective energy, and sharing moments of boundless joy.

In his Patterns of Perception 115, Oceanic unusually sticks to a single tempo, presenting a unique perspective on trippier and groovier techno. The standout transition between Exercise One's timeless "Prowl" (Donato Dozzy Remix) and the more contemporary "Calpohol" by Henry Greenleaf's (featuring Delay Grounds) epitomises the spirit of this mix: the effortless blending of tracks from different worlds, harmoniously united in an evocative sonic experience.

Known primarily for his hi-energy club sets, Konduku's atmospheric sounds and sense of focus seep into more ambient and experimental sets, where the pace and mood shifts, bringing us along for the ride. Inspired by the nature of his native Switzerland, Morphing Territories is on a boundless quest to per-fect the beat. Through tireless improvisation and introverted self-discovery, his finely-sculpted sound constructs push the boundaries of both complexity and simplicity.

As an extension of his musical vision, Morphing Territories’ self-titled label presents a full range of psychedelic dancefloor experiences. His own releases there, as well as for labels like KCZ, Oslated and On Board Music, channel spontaneity and even chaos into purist, deeply-affecting techno trips.

The vibe he creates in the studio is developed further by his journeying DJ or live sets, as well as by his mix series Sense. Altogether, the distinct avenues create a complete sound world, where the re-lentless beat of a drum, the trails of driving rhythms and the warmth of soaring pads combine into a potent formula.

For MNMT 396 Konduku presents a mix of lucid techno experiments, full of new and unreleased heat delivered in curious time signatures, with a deep rhythmic pulse.

His releases have seen him majoring for the likes of Nous’klaer - a label he’s most commonly associated with - to releases with Delsin’s Mantis Series, DJ Nobu’s Bitta label, and his celebrated Parlama EP for Spazio Disponibile - Konduku delivers an undeniable sonic pattern of uptempo, liquid and polyrhythmic groove.

Zen Garden Recordings are farewell to one chapter of Mo:Dem Festival. From next year's edition, we are opening a new one: The Seed.

The Seed is the stage hosting the alternative music program of the festival. A place where you can find a wide selection of genres and styles, from ambient beatless excursions to dubstep and world music, through different interpretations of the downtempo environment. Created to highlight and remember the importance of keeping a multi-dimensional point of view on the music world as an infinite source of psychedelic inputs, The Seed will be planted in the Spirallabs, a totally new area of the festival that gathers visual art, healing and wellness practices, lectures, workshops and the kids garden.
