John and Goose find out that out of the water, the subject most often appears as a female humanoid with a mean volume of 90 L comprised entirely of water (other forms are possible, commonly geometric shapes). When it enters a body of water, it becomes indistinguishable from its surroundings

It is basically a modern day Water Nymph that is for some reason, not comfortable around men. It doesn't say what happened but John and Goose are on the case!
