In the aftermath of the cataclysmic events that unfolded in the original 'Shadowlands,' the world lay in ruins, swallowed by the relentless march of the Mechanisms. Humanity's fate hung by a thread as the Digi-Wraiths roamed the desolate landscapes, feeding upon the last remnants of technology.

Thought to be extinct, a small group of survivors, the last vestiges of the human race, managed to evade the relentless pursuit of the Digi-Wraiths. As the relentless storm of technology raged on, a new leader among the Outriders emerged, a figure whose name whispered through the ruins as a beacon of resistance. They were known simply as the "Stormbringer." Equipped with a deep understanding of both the ancient ways of humanity and the secrets of technology, the Stormbringer possessed the knowledge to unravel the Mechanism's power.
