Aiwaska’s status keeps growing from strength to strength with every release. He has recently been remixed by the likes of Patrice Bäumel, Tensnake, Audiofly and Jenia Tarsol, and with collaborations with the likes of The Egyptian Lover, Robert Owens, Starving Yet Full (Azari&III) and Idd Aziz, his tracks are always full of life and attitude. For this hot new single, he teams up with Circus Company artist Aquarius Heaven for a salacious bomb.

From the most simple of elements you’re immediately hooked. A throbbing kick, tom and woodblock groove sucks you into the track, with Aquarius Heaven’s warped, twisted-sounding vocal soon adding a dramatic feel. Stuttering hi-hats continue the ‘80s acid house percussive feel, but they’re soon augmented by a tight closed hat and phat claps. Pulsing monotone bass cuts through the track as dark pad tones rise in and out of the mix. The debauched vocal hook fits the track perfectly (“Fuck it baby, I’m dirty”), adding a seedy feel as heady synth blasts pepper the mix.

There’s not a melody in earshot in this moody track, and none is needed. The interplay of different atmospheres, morphing textures, subtle percussive twists and expert production make this an absolute juggernaut of a track that blends techno, house and electro references. Weapons-grade material.

Music producer and live performer Frivolous debuts on Bar 25 Music with ¨The Tiny House of Delusion¨. After the first 3 albums being released on Karloff Rekordings, ~scape, ~scape and Cadenza, it is Daniel Gardner’s 4th full-length recording and the first one in more than 10 years.

Recently Frivolous have returned to living in Berlin. For the last 2 years during the pandemic he has been studying a master's degree in Music at Funkhaus. “This study has been focussed on examining how music has been forced into a darwinian like structural evolution” - artist says, “as a result of the recent 'loudness war'. The impact of this has been significant, as this has changed the spatial approach to conveying the reality of acoustic situation in music. I could speak about this forever”.

“I have returned to making new music after almost 10 years of creative drought, which was related also to the loudness war and personal circumstances. In this 10 years I have been living on a small island in Canada, deep in the "pampa". Creativity relies on external input, and this place was lacking in free creative inspiration due to the systemic structures of an imposing colonial mentality. Also something I could speak about for a long-time but I prefer to focus on the positive, as I embark on my second chapter in Berlin - a city which feeds me with creative input”.

“This album is an arrangement of musical snapshots which captures many states of consciousness over the years. Like a diary that is not bound together, but strewn over machines, laptops and hard-drives. “I am constantly finding tracks which I made but didn't feel confident enough to demo”, Daniel adds.

Black Rose twenty-eighth EP comes from the Italian duo "Opposite Ways" with a stunning remix from the Italian talent "Ivan Masa", a remix from the Bolivian duo "Animal Print" and the amazing vocals from the singer based in Milan "Liam Guest". The original one from "Opposite Ways" is a train that never stops until first break literally make a silence moment than the vocals from "Liam Guest" enter in just like a thunder in the middle of a storm of emotions and vibrant energy. This one is the more techno groove version. Then we have a superb remix from "Ivan Masa" where the groove is more slow but with a lot of energy, here the main drop is anticipated by the vocals and then we find some laser bells with some leads characterized by dirty distorted sound design impossible not to dance. Then last but not least we find "Animal Print" remix, here the voice is put in more distance giving the groove more air, and an hypnotic lead drives till the first drop comes with toms that give a very distinct rhythm. In the second drop there is another atmospherical lead with a distorted sound at the beginning of the drop.

Valeron’s 2022 album Aroma frames Greece’s diverse musical history through a contemporary lens and acts as a testament to the current collaborative milieu of the island — a dance between Mediterranean and Middle Eastern instruments, all acoustic and recorded live, with the Mykonos native‘s hovering hand on mixers and synths.

The album is a passionate ode to the musical heritage of the Cyclades from a personal perspective, which comes as no surprise to Valeron's admirers. “There is nothing more beautiful than the sound of music and the aroma of its soul. To inhale is to capture, to experience”. 

This idea has implications concerning how the human mind works, with aroma being one word that we've coined to describe how we perceive what's around us, with its roots in the Late Latin for spice. We take in our surroundings and relay relevant information to the brain through our senses. Is it possible for music to have an aroma, or for the imagination to perceive it in that way?

Schtu belongs to those producers who always have a little wink hidden up their musical sleeves. He uses humor and fun as a healing force and embraces all emotion, whether "good" or "bad". It is only logical that he is an excellent fit for URSL, the label that is always looking for a place where emotions and humor can coexist peacefully.
The You Make Me Feel Like is an ode to the melodic genre and the fun a standard 4-chord pattern combined with choppy vocals can bring. Emotions don't always resonate in harmony here; disharmony can be just the right key when combined with the correct patterns and used in the right place at the right time. And Schtu proves that he has mastered this game.
By the way, the third track on this EP, a "Call To Arms", was remixed by the infamous Theo Meier, whom you surely already know from the URSL catalog. Wink, wink.

DESCRIPTION
“Entre Las Lunas” (Between the Moons) is the third single from Santi & Tuğçe’s fourth full-length album “The Marvelous Real”. Composed by Santi and based on a poem by Tuğçe, “Entre Las Lunas” is a song that contemplates the ephemeral and eternal nature of existence. Featuring Pier Luigi Salami on piano, Tolga Bilgin on trumpet and flugelhorn, Jonathan Strauch on tenor and saxophone baritone, Ertürk İduğ on trombone, perfectly orchestrated by Santi and delicately sung by Santi & Tuğçe, “Entre Las Lunas” finely weaves together jazzy harmonies, Brazilian-flavored percussions, dreamy synths with soulful vocals and once again reveals the intricate beauty and nuanced complexity that define Santi & Tuğçe’s music.
