Escape from rabbit hole

I had these two little blues pieces – in E and C – and an arrangement for When I’m 64, and they seemed to fit, and voila! The whole piece runs for 100 bars, but subtracting the repeated two blues sections the piece adds up to 64 bars. I swear this was an accident!

One of those back burner incomplete songs that I started writing back in 2018 timeframe. Pulled it out awhile back and things started to flow, crazy how that happens. Made some changes with the melody, and added a few new lyrics, which were inspired from events of this past year. Trials make us stronger. This track is deeply inspired by the sounds of the 80s, a decade of music that has always moved me. I tried to capture that feeling with heartfelt saxophone lines and drums that you can really feel. 🎷 My hope is that it brings you a sense of nostalgia and energy.
