limbo is a little glimpse into the journey of unknowing and unlearning in the hope of finding something deeper and more authentic. The duo find themselves in an interesting place spiritually and wanted to explore this with the opening track of their latest EP. This song is about quietly pushing your boat out into a misty sea and not quite knowing where you will end up but knowing for certain that it’s something you have to do. It’s about in-betweenness and holding things which are seemingly in tension alongside each other. This song is about taking a leap of faith, also known as, limbo.

limbo, released on the 24th June,  is the first single from the duo's forthcoming EP of the same name and draws musical influence from Frank Ocean, HAIM, Billie Eilish and Future Utopia. It's bold, gritty and packs a sonic punch.

As the conversation about racial justice seems to be getting louder (and rightly so), down is a song about having the guts to first start by looking at our own harmful beliefs and behaviour as we commit to this life-long work. It’s about self-reflection and examining the things that we need to lay down.

It’s a call to action.

We’re dreaming of and living for a kinder world and perhaps this means turning our ideas of success on their head and heading in a new direction, down.

In a world where we can grow up believing that our bodies are something to battle against, this song is the opposite, it’s a love song to our bodies. It’s a celebration of getting to a place where we love and trust ourselves. Navigating pain and trauma is a tricky, gruelling and complex business and this song celebrates the beauty of our bodies carrying us through it all.  It's a reverential nod to the way that movement can be a balm in the process. Our bodies are capable of the most amazing things and when we move differently we can experience healing and freedom in the most incredible ways.
