Songs To Consider For Your Apocalypse Playlist began development in late 2020, when Perrin began writing songs as a tableau of different fictional characters and expressing his take on world events and tumultuous mental health through them. A handful of those songs were then moved to a collaborative production process with producer Alex B. and a collective of artists including J. J. Allen, Jen Giammanco, Lex Nordlinger, Billy Cohen, and Mikiya Ito.
