Swimming in deep and seemingly calm waters has turned into a kind of extreme sport in a music scene that keeps cranking up the BPMs and toughening its vibe. That's why stumbling upon EPs like the one Madrid-based producer Blovk is dropping on Gordo Trax with this "Quiescence" feels like a bit of a luxury.

From his studio, where cables snake into his modular synthesizers like injecting venom, Blovk crafts four original tracks that showcase an artist hitting his stride. It's a journey through a analog, metallic, and textural sonic landscape.

In this "Quiescence" EP, you'll find futuristic minimalism, warm and cyclical sequences resonating in an organic space, techno landscapes, and a hunger for what's to come.

Adding to the mix, there are remixes by Viels and Fase Bipolar. The Italian artist, a regular on Warm Up Recordings, serves up a beautifully rounded, ethereal remix. Meanwhile, the Fase Bipolar duo, based on Sungate Records, injects their characteristic robotic groove into a dancefloor-oriented remix.

Arthur Antônio is the name behind the project Prowler, a Brazilian DJ and producer who started producing in 2019, being heavily influenced by Dax J, Oscar Mulero, and Slam.
During his performances and productions, the artist aims to engage the dancefloor with a hypnotic sound and few breaks, bringing a lot of weight and speed to his music selection.
The artist has already gained support from prominent international artists such as Adriana Lopez, DVS1, Lindsey Herbert, Léa Occhi, Marky EG, and Richie Hawtin.

"This mix was recorded live from Eastern Bloc for the recent Northern Groove Association event which hosted Habgud the featured artist, The Groovemeister General (AKA. Balrog)

For his set, TGG focused on playing records from his substantial collection of house cuts and techno from the late 90s and early 2000s. This 1.45hr recording is from the final stages of his 3hr set, moving from some house edits into rolling techno grooves."
