The Tiger Tapes are back and this time we're really happy to have two very special guests: @heelsandsouls  - one of London's foremost not-for-profit parties, re-issue label, and the DJ duo of Ben Croft and Patrick Forrester. 

These lads have been making waves in the music scene by re-issuing amazing gems such as The Soundstealer's classic jam "Amazonia" in collaboration with a rework from buddies Good Block with their signature dubby goodness.

Much more can be said about these two, but let's let the music talk for itself, as they have delivered a proper chuggy downtempo workout that moves into more psychedelic proggyness.

We have been following the guest of this new episode of Canela En Surco for a long time, thanks to our friend Paul Marele from Subwax (one of the DJs with the best records and least pretensions that we know) informing us of the 2 (and only) mixes that Mandel had uploaded online at that time. From the moment we heard them, we became absolute fans of his selection of records and his way of playing them; one of them was a YouTube at HÖR where Mandel looks serious and starts to give a lesson in how House should be DJed, where the soul is more important than the technique, and with a love for your records as if each one of them were your best treasure.

After the pandemic, and with the doors of the clubs now open, Mandy visited Barcelona and our friendship went from 0 to 100 from the first moment. As we got to know him, our admiration for him as a person also grew; his way of seeing music and DJing is very similar to ours, and furthermore, he spends all his money on them just like us, LOL.

On one of these visits where Mandel came from Italy to look for records we were able to convince him to come over and record with us; it must be said that Mandy began to do a b2b with our director Breixo Martínez without ever having played any of his records, since he had just found them in a couple of warehouses in Italy. They had both just worked all day and were very tired, but the result is almost 3 hours of elegant House gems with soul

Trushmix 135 with special guest Amichay. Tel Aviv's own in the mix for two hours! Mr Amichay, behind the label Bauhaus, and just ended his ten year long residency at the Bloc. Now operating around different venues, and in the mix like a proper resident DJ in the house! 
I had the pleasure to play after him and meet him in Tbilisi, then he offered a pure down to earth perfectly live mixed house set.
On Trush, he delivers a real proper balearic set, early nineties grooves, street soul, hip hop infused tunes, and some dash of house, plus more.
Easy going, laid back, and groovy.
