In celebration of April as National Poetry Month The Power Plant and the Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA) are excited to co-present the winners of POWER OF THE POETS 2, an ekphrastic poetry contest! Submissions were pre-judged by Roland Gulliver, Director of TIFA, then judged by Elder Duke Redbird. 

These poems are inspired by one of three Fall 2020 exhibitions at The Power Plant.

The Power Plant invites all visitors, including those who are blind or who have low vision, for a guided audio tour of three exhibitions by Manuel Mathieu, Howie Tsui, and Nathan Eugene Carson. This recorded tour offers detailed descriptions of artwork, helping people form mental images of what they may not clearly see. The stops were created by gallery staff in consultation with Kat Germain.
