MR MADD - FINAL SUNRISE AGAIN
WOW.... GREAT NEWS. THIS IS THE FIRST FINISHED TRACK FROM THE NEW STUDIO SETUP USING A TASCAM DSP24.
It is a very interesting story how this came to be. In a music store I offered a little boy a keyboard as a gift that I no longer needed. A minute later a stranger walks up to me and shows me this Tascam recorder inside a bag. He was looking for the store to take it in trade but they would not. I was bearly able to pay a small amount for it  but the seller gladly accepted. Thank you George.
So. I have figured it out and love this recorder.
This track is Final Sunrise Again. In the workings of this track I have come to realize that drummer Brian will live to have 2 Final Sunrises.
Last year he passed out at the train station and was revived. He was dead and came back. This is Brian (back from beyond) playing the drums again and doing a miraculous job.
We have committed to another stab at early 70s progressive rock. Its so much fun reliving this stuff.

We managed to travel to some interesting concepts in developing the contents and ideas for the album. One such idea was to look back in time 200 years for old time lyrics such as "Jim Dandy". JIM DANDY is a story about a family man enslaved by owner who managed to still find love and the gift of creating a family. Even when the sun seems darkest, love and family will always find a way to triumph. My own Grandmother would testify, as this was also her world. She fought the riggers of relentless work chores, and still was able to have several beautiful children, one of which was my mother.

Thick web of bass guitars layered with some soft guitar melody and maxed out Hammond tones, Casual layed back voice with the calim of going down south, Gonna Make Some Funk.

YEP. It has been forty years in time. Somehow,they found me on this forum Soundcloud. Three Friends find each other at 3 different corners of the USA. Mark Pippitt and Scott Smith and of course, MR MADD.
This track is a concept creation of Marks from way back. We placed the setting of tones to reflect "Way Back" in the beginning of the Pink Floyd era and King Crimson era. The PROG days.
This song was origanly performed by the band SYNASTAR "way back".
I think the on point lyrics tell the story of the great feeling of reaching HOME AGAIN.

ELECTRIC GUITAR - Maybe Frank Zappa said it best. "Shut up and play your guitar". Well, that is what has been done here.  I was not sure where this track could even get to when I first started. 
I picked up this guitar to see what it could do, and found out.
This cheap guitar rips. Harley Benton is making it tuff on the the expensive guitar sellers.
Enjoy this very experimental radical piece of music. It wickedly starts to grow on you after a few listens.

WOW! Where do I start. Another great work effort with Mark Pippit.
Mark has sent me this song to embellish. What a statement of current world affairs.
With his vocals and bass and synth tracks in place, I began to add the rest, with great concern to let Marks great lyric input here, stand out. In parallel to the vocal image, the guitars and drums needed to reflect the mood.

BACK TOO SQUARE ONE! is a modern electronic production of the roots we started with a long time ago. Free form design music flowing from the mood of the individual musician. Created with some electronic synth and rhythm tones, this track was organically topped off with keyboard strikes, bass guitar riff and melody thoughts. An imposed guitar duet is present, with a struggle between pure clean acoustic mood and ripped out of place by electronic guitar maddness!

LIFE HURLS SHIT AT YOU
Just last year the MrMadd project hit the studios. This is an 2019 Madd production from the current MrMadd album Phaze 9.
This song "Life Hurls Shit at You" is about life in general. Seems no matter which corner you turn, it happens. Someone or somebody or something hurls shit at you. A simple though. The music style here is bordering on metal but many may remember this as progressive rock. Lots of keyboards and very electric guitars. Voice effects sound like you are sitting inside of a spinning speaker box.

Our latest album of material, PHAZE 9. It took long enough to produce and finish songs for this album. A solid rock flair in this song using a Telecaster solid heavy body guitar revealing rich solid guitar tones. 
Song comments about those who are not on the media. Social media is almost a disease itself. Some can't get enough and the rest of us are too busy or tired to even bother. Like a drawn line in the sand, this is one I have refused to cross on many levels. I am too busy creating a path in music to brag about where I had diner.

FINAL SUNRISE is something everybody will get. if you experience a miracle you will get SIDE 2. Well here it is, SIDE 2.  So...., Save the best for last!
This is a total studio album by nature, even though there are a couple live cuts in the mix. With great focus on synthesizers and electronically created music, this album reaches to the distance of space. Limitless is the motive here. Thanks to bassist Keith Raynis for his creative bass genius on these tracks. Sit back, take a load off, and ride through this very spacey collection of tracks.

GLASS MAN

I operate a small studio named after our band, MR MADD. I play guitar, bass, and keyboards. Mr Madd was formed in the early 1990s. We have always been a "jam band" but at times would settle down and do some track recordings of songs written by a member or members the band. Our music is all original to us. We do not adhere to any single genre. All genres are acceptable. Anything from metal rock to jazz and space music is OK. Small local tours have mostly been our stand. The band ended its touring schedule in 2010. Since 2010 we have mostly created song tracks or held studio jam sessions and played  back to our roots as a jam band. 
NOW! 
The music created must live on, so here some of it is for you to experience and listen to.
I hope anyone who reads this or gets to listen to our music simply enjoys what you find.
